New revenue opportunities for Landowners
In the short term, option fees paid annually in advance offer additional revenue while the option is in effect. Once the lease begins, the lease rents diversify the farm's income and provide a stable, secure source of long-term revenue. This financial stability can help future generations continue the family’s farming legacy.

What is this going to cost me?
A small amount of your time and attention to consider and review our proposal, and to meet with us and our representatives onsite at your convenience.
Can I keep using the land during the option period?
You can continue using the land as before. The option allows Solarig to secure the site and includes a license for onsite investigations and obtaining development approvals. We will, of course, provide as much notice as possible when we or our contractors plan to visit.
What makes land suitable for a renewable project?
Key considerations includes: Proximity to high-voltage powerlines or substations, or location within a renewable energy zone, suitable roads for large vehicles like trucks and cranes and minimal risk for extreme weather; for wind farms, being in a high-wind area with good separation from neighbouring dwellings; for solar farms, acceptable good solar irradiance, flat land that is cleared or of low agricultural/environmental value.

Agriculture, livestock and renewables
We collaborate with our landowners to develop project layout designs and construction and operational practices that accommodate ongoing agricultural activity on the land as much as possible during each phase.
